The story revolves around a love triangle between the male protagonist, Makoto, and two girls in his year, Kotonoha and Sekai.
Makoto develops an interest in Kotonoha, and although they both take the same train to school, she seems to be unaware of his existence. One of his classmates and close friend, Sekai, gets the two together, but apparently, she seems to have strong feelings for Makoto.
Now this is a really nice story, simple, fun, with love in the air. I personally feel that love triangle are really awkward, heck I’ve never been in one and I sure as heck don’t wanna be in one…..

I think the most horrifying horror stories are those of real life….
Creating the eye style in AKIRA is not unlike forming an 8-sided polygon, the difference being rounded corners. The eye lids are simple enough that both eyes can be drawn with just two strokes.
The eye structure used in the anime AKIRA is very simple in nature. Basically, you have a top lid, bottom lid, and the iris.
If you want to classify this style of eye, it’s called abbreviated realism. Manga style eyes or “big eyes” as they’re sometimes called, is not abbreviated realism. The difference between the two styles can be determined by comparing them to the real human eye structure. The closer the resemblence, the more realistic. And the farther away, the more styalized or manga it becomes.
The reason I started with an example from AKIRA was to make a point. AKIRA was created in 80s, so some may think that this style of abbreviated realism is old hat. This notion is false. If you want a recent example of abbreviated realism, just take a look at Jin-Roh, a recent release this year.
Rurouni Kenshin OVA (male)
The eye structure in Rurouni Kenshin is probably one of the more mainstream styles used today with male heroes associated with fighting or action anime. It’s important to note the major differences between male and female eyes.
Size: Male eyes are almost always smaller than female eyes. The reasoning behind this is somewhat cultural and traditional in nature.You’ve heard the saying that eyes are “windows into the soul”? Well, this applies somewhat. Larger eyes = innocence. You have nothing to hide. Smaller or narrower eyes = distrust. You’ll notice that evil characters or villains almost always have smaller eyes than the hero of a story.

That’s why children are always given large eyes regardless of sex to point out that they are innocent and have no experience with the evil or corrupt nature of the world. Old characters always have tiny eyes, because they have seen too much and have that squinty “wise” look.
Females in anime, on the other hand, have larger eyes to better express emotions. After all, it can be said that females are much more outwardly emotional and physically social than males.
However, there are always exceptions to the rule. If you have watched Spriggan, you’ll note that the main villain is in a child’s body. How do his eyes look? From what you’ve learned, what does that say about the character?
Rurouni Kenshin OVA (female)
The female eye is usually more detailed because they almost always have prominent eyelashes. Sometimes male characters have eyelashes, but they’re either thicker, shorter, or in very small numbers.
Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust (female)
While I’m on the topic of eyelashes, a note-worthy exception to the eyelash rule is Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust. Both male and female characters have long eyelashes. However, the difference between the two is that the male eye is usually a lot wider and vertically smaller than the female counterpart.

Funimation announced this past week that they have acquired the rights for Dance in the Vampire Bund. Shortly after making the announcement, the Funimation representative said that the streaming and home video (DVD and BD) would be edited because of content they found “unsuitable” to release. Since this revelation, internet backlash has been immense against and for Funimation and rightly so. Sites such as Funimation’s own blog, Mania, Anime News Network, MyAnimeList and various other sites have unleashed a hell storm on Funimation.

That being said, as its the weekend, Funimation has yet to respond to the overwhelming fan response against their decision to edit and censor anime. I expect come Monday, they will hopefully have changed their minds and will release it uncut and uncensored. If they choose to keep the current position, this will not end well for them at all. They would be considered hypocrites because they let stuff like Rin, Shin-chan, Strike Witches and various other anime series go unedited and uncensored. Do you see the hypocrisy? Its that big building that has majority share of the U.S. anime market.
I have read the first three volumes of Dance in the Vampire Bund (which is being released uncensored and uncut by Seven Seas, go to your local bookstore and buy it). I see absolutely nothing wrong with it. It’s perfectly fine. There is no nefarious agenda involved Mina’s lack of clothes. Funimation has no right to tell us, the consumer, what we can and can’t see. I’ve also seen people use the “Handley excuse” – if people actually did research on the case and dug deep, they’d see it would have nothing to do with possessing loli. ANN and various other media outlets have led you to believe it does. They’ve installed a fear factor into both us and the companies.
People, who are in support of the censorship, say it will never happen again and this is a one time deal. WRONG. They’ll do it again, and again, and again if they get away with it just once. You would be ignorant as can be to believe otherwise. That’s why you need to pick a side and not hold middle ground. You are either for censorship or against it. There is no middle ground. If you are for, I pity you and wish you the best of luck in the harsh world. If you are against it, you have my deep respect and I tip my hat to you.
I’m not calling for a boycott of all Funimation products, even though I myself am doing a semi-boycott (as in not buying expensive first releases, waiting for dirt cheap releases and collections). The less I give, the better I’ll feel. I will ask that should this be released cut and censored, to boycott it and send a message that this crap is unacceptable in 2010. I’m not expecting much, but I sincerely hope that tomorrow Funimation will issue a statement regarding the enormous outcry for this debacle. I can only hope they make the right decision – which would be to release this anime series uncut and uncensored.
I thought that this was just a really fun episode. I would say it’s the best of the series, but every time I say that, the next episode always ends up even better than the last! not only was it funny, but it got a bit of character development between Yoshii and Akira out of the way. And I have to say that I really like Akira as a character. This series just has a whole cast of characters you can’t help but love(except for a select few…Miharu…). And I’m sure you’ll be able to tell I had fun watching this episode….
This episode focused on Yoshii’s sister Akira coming down for a visit to make sure he wasn’t up to anything she would find questionable…and throughout the episode he must prove that he is responsible enough to live alone like he has for a while.
WOW…Akira sure is blog to have changed into a bathrobe on the train.
It seems as though Yoshii’s sister has just as much “sense” as he does…but she’s got a great body Es they’re Es!!!
If his sister found out that Yoshii was doing all of those things she didn’t want him doing, he would definitely be out of that place of his.
Ha-ha, Yoshii is so poor that he had sold most of his video games for food.
That text message Yoshii sent sounded so wrong…and more BL-ness…Yoshii’s sister was even fine with him going out with someone of the same-sex as him instead of a girl. And everyone thinks Yoshii is gay [or something] now.

But unfortunately for Yoshii(being the idiot that he is…), he fails his test, which take away the points he away towards him being able to live alone. So in the end it seems as though Akira will be staying with him for a bit.
So overall it was an excellent episode, one of the best the series has had to offer yet! But when I got to the end of the episode, it felt as though this was the last episode. Especially since the ending was omitted this time around. And I actually think that this would’ve made a nice ending to the series, not like I want it to end though…
The titel of this articles comes from some rememberings of my school courses (the reverse supply chain in logistics courses). Don’t be afraid of that, I just want to explain an easy concept.

Lately I didn’t know which anime to watch… and I was guided by some crushes on PVC figures: Canaan by GSC made me watch Canaan, Akiha Shishidou by GSC made me watch Sora Kake Girl, the prototype of Mikoto Misaka made me watch Toaru Majutsu no Index and Toaru Kagaku no Railgun (21 episodes to be more exact), and the one of Senjougahara-sama made me begin Bakemonogatari.
It’s half-scaring and half-understandable. Someway I would say that my interest for the Japanese culture “evolved” What about you? :p

So Akihisa wakes up one morning to find his big-breasted sister Akira is back in town:
He also finds that she’s very “oddly” dressed!
It turns out that sister is in town to keep an eye on Akihisa and see if he is indeed fit to be living on his own. She then asks him if he remembers the two conditions she gave him for living on his own. Before he has a chance to answer, she let’s Akihisa know the punishment for forgetting:
Oh boy! Anyway, the two conditions turned out to be a) No more than 30 mins of games a day, and b) No sexual deviance! Akihisa will have to prove to his sister that he is doing neither, AND score well on his midterms to get her approval.
The next day before school, Shouko asks Yuuji to see his phone, saying that on the news the previous night she learned that the easiest way to find if your guy is having an affair is to check his phone. Yuuji is reluctant to give up his phone at first, but remember this is Shouko we’re dealing with!
Give WHAT to her is the question! lol
After getting his phone, she sees that the only person texting him is Akihisa, therefore she assumes he’s having a gay-love affair with him! And with perfect timing, Akihisa sends another text at that moment:
Yep, and as you’d expect, not only does Shouko misunderstand this (and give Yuuji the proper “punishment”, a tazer to the chest!), but it seems everyone else does as well!

Throughout the school day, everyone notices that Akihisa has been acting a little strange, especially when he actually appears to be studying in class (a fact which catches even Irnoman off guard, as he tells Akihisa to go to the health room!). When they all confront him about it however, Akihisa refuses to reveal what is bothering him. So to get to the bottom of it, Yuuji proposes a study session at Akihisas house that night. Akihisa refuses, but he is powerless to stop the others from coming over.
Reluctantly, Akihisa lets everyone in his house, only to discover evidence of a girl living there as well (like bras and panties being hung out to dry!). The girls don’t take this lightly of course, however it’s Himeji who comes off the scariest:

However, before the girls die of shock, Akihisas sister returns home.
With the cat out of the bag, Akihisa formally introduces everyone to his sister. And as everyone introduces themselves, Hideyoshi sees it fit to let her know that he is in fact a guy. However, she states she already knows that he’s a guy.

However, Akira says that she knows Hideyoshi is a guy because there’s no way Akihisa could be friends with a girl. Therefore she also assumes that Himeji and Minami are guys as well. Akihisa corrects her, sort of…

After that, Akihisa decides to cook food for everyone. However Himeji decides to help, which sets off a red flag for all the guys! After successfully getting her to stay, Akihisa cooks the dinner with the help of Yuuji. The girls are amazed, and a bit disappointed about the fact that Akihisa can cook quite well.
Later that night as they’re all studying in his room, Akira finds Akihisas porn under his bed, and through looking through the contents, figures out what he has a fetish for:
So of course, the next day at school, these two show up like this:
While Himejis explanation of why she tied up her hair in a ponytail works, Minamis explanation for the “growth spurt”…….not so much:

During lunch, Akihisa laments the fact that his sister is back home, however everyone points out to him that he has a great sister. Akihisa still has a hard time buying this as he walks home, however he decides to cook her dinner anyway. When he let’s Akira know that he’ll be cooking dinner though, she states that he should spend the time studying for his midterms rather than worry about cooking for her. This upsets Akihisa and pushes him to study all night to get a good score to prove to his sister he can cut it on his own.
The next day, Akihisa thinks he’s ready for his test, and is confident in his answers. However, the idiot in him comes out again and he ends up putting the answer for question 1 in the name box, which of course affects his whole test:
This of course means that his life on his own is over for now. Later that night while lamenting the fact, he opens the fridge to discover that Akira was practicing all night to cook his favorite food. After seeing all the effort his sister is putting into taking care of him, Akihisa realizes that maybe living with her again won’t be such a bad thing after all.
So yeah, Akihisas sister Akira is so full of EPIC WIN. I loved the parts where she kept trying to lock lips with Akihisa, and how she flat out admitted she loved him not only as a brother, but also as a male! So they’re adding just one more meme to this show, the brother-sister incest gag! NOW this show has everything……….I think. We still have four episodes to go, anything else we’re missing??
Also, Himeji was showing this episode more and more that she may be the Yandere to Minami’s Tsundere. Seriously, I was getting some serious Kotonoha vibes from Himeji a couple of times through the episode. We’ve already seen that this anime isnt afraid to pull the referance-card, so I would not be surprised if we get a “nice-boat” parody sometime down the line!

Kimi ni Todoke Ch. 35
Ahhh, Kimi ni Todoke has always been refreshing and fun, but sometimes Sawako being dense gets a bit annoying. This chapter definitely irritated me. Sawako yelling ” It’s a misunderstanding!” after Kazehaya confessed was a bit much. I felt sorry for him.
When they ran off and confessed it was like “Yes, its about time!” but no, they both have to think that the confessions met that they like each other as friends. UGH. Even though Kimi ni Todoke is one of my favorite manga’s it does get irritating sometimes. Hopefully, in the next few chapters they will make up.
AAA Ch. 12
AAA finally got released! I’ve been waiting for ages.
This chapter was adorable. I especially liked the part where Hayato recreates they day he met Aoi. That was such a cute thing to do. Then when I thought he confessed he had to say something to ruin the mood. Guess guys will always be guys! Anyways, AAA ending is not far off! Hope to see what happens to them both.
Kaichou wa Maid-Sama Ch. 47
It’s been too long since its last release and this chapter was fun to read. I guess it mainly focuses on Sakura and Kuuga and their relationship. Sakura is still as cute as ever and Kuuga is just the same old bastard. I was surprised during the scene in the hot springs where Usui said he and Misaki aren’t a couple. I mean technically they are aren’t they? They just aren’t what you would call a “normal” couple. The end of the chapter ended with Kuuga saying some mean things to Sakura and him running away. Next chapter will probably be about Misaki scolding Kuuga for what he did blah, blah, blah.
Well, thats it folks! I know its not amazing but have fun reading it.
I think my next post will probably be on Spring Anime and what I will be watching or something along those lines.
