On their way back from a delivery, the carriage that Lag is taking is pursued by a band of armed guy on horseback. The couple in the same carriage, Moss and Bonny, explain that the leader of the gang, Frank, is trying to force Bonny into a marriage with him, but her true love is Moss, which is why she is eloping with him, and why Frank is chasing them. Angered at how Frank is in the way of love, Niche attacks him, but is stopped by Lag. Frank manages to capture the couple and retrieves a bag of illegal spirit amber from them. It turns out that Bonny is a con-woman, and the couple had stolen the goods from the gang.
Meh, another average episode. It was amusing seeing Niche sulk at Lag while learning more about the thing called “love”, but every episode without relations to Gauche or any other main Letter Bees is boring, since such filler-like stories have no or minimal impact on the main plot. I wonder if this is how things are like in the manga.
Looks like next week will be another “meh” episode.
